Mechanics Prototyping was a first year module which took me through the steps of developing a game within Unreal Engine 5. It gave me a chance to get familiar with the engine, creating an entirely visually scripted project. The University gave us a framework including a space themed asset pack, input detection, and a simple movable agent, Throughout the module, we were familiarised with the engine, and then given creative freedom over how we wanted to approach the framework and what game we wanted to build.
